Leading national firm is looking to add to their highly successful Intellectual Property and Technology team based in their offices in Glasgow. The firm are ideally looking for a lawyer to work on an initial 12 month fixed term contract basis however a permanent position may also be available to the right candidate- we invite candidates seeking permanent or contract positions to apply. 

Role Profile:

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic Solicitor to join a top ranked IP and Technology non-contentious team.  The firm are looking for a circa 3-4 yrs + PQE lawyer who is dynamic, ambitious and intelligent individual with good communications skills.  

The team works in a wide range of sectors, both in the UK and internationally, with particular depth of expertise in fashion, branding, IT, life sciences, e-business and a Scottish IP dispute resolution / litigation practice. 

The team has also has a strong client base with a strong portfolio of brands and intellectual property including the Edrington Group (Famous Grouse / Macallan / Highland Park), Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Optos PLC, Menzies PLC and the Restaurant Group. 

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be an excellent technical commercial contract drafter and will have experience of Intellectual Property and Information Technology law. 

Some exposure to providing advice on data protection and corporate assist work would be advantageous.  In addition to the technical competencies you will be able to work well in a team.
